Years ago, back when I was working in an ad agency, we were promoting Bosch FlameSelect: a gas stove with 9 exact heat levels.

The selling point? Precision.
The challenge? Make people FEEL it.

So we took the same core message and explored it from two completely different creative angles:

1️⃣ The “Sniper Accuracy” Visual

A hyper-realistic photo composition: the flame becomes a target crosshair.
Clean. Sharp. Dead-on.
Because when you cook with exact heat, you hit the mark every time.

2️⃣ The “Paint-by-Numbers” Illustration

Same message, opposite vibe.
Playful. Imaginative. Almost childlike.
Each dish is “colored” according to the exact heat level it needs.
Precision, with creativity and emotion.

Same product. Same benefit.
Two executions, two moods, two audiences. One strategic truth.

That’s the beauty of concept work:

Looking back on this past wild year, I ask myself (again) why I am an entrepreneur.

It's tough.
It's risky.
It's lonely.

Why bother?
Not entirely sure.
Entrepreneurship chose me.

I thought it was a smart move so I'd be more available as a mom - ha!
I thought I'd have more time, earn more, have more creative freedom - haaaa!

And in the end, all of the above is true - only once you get over the first phase.
So it's the process that gets you where you want to go.

And like anything amazing in life, the process is tough. But it's the growth that comes from the process that is worthwhile.

And it's in the process that the gold lies. 🌟

Ok I'll be honest, this is old work (not that old, about 3 years ago - you can tell by the Corona illustrations 😂).

But it's Chanukah. And this was such a fun Chanukah project, so I thought I'd spread the joy with you.

Nifgashot is a weekly online workshop taught by @sivanrahavmeir for Bat Mitzvah-age girls.
I was fortunate to design a branded Chanukah workbook for the workshop, filled with activities and writings done by the girls themselves.

It was intense. It was fun. It was beautiful.

It's grey outside, and oh so cold.
So I thought I'd share one of my favorite art school projects, filled with color, joy and life. Fill the dreary day with fun.

At 19, I went to study a Bachelor's Degree in graphic design. After a few years of work in my field, I went back to school for 2 years, to study Art Direction in Advertising.
I loved graphic design, but I had had felt like something was missing. A deeper thought process of the work I was doing—both visually and conceptually. Studying advertising gave me a new direction.

Advertising gets a bad rap, because nobody likes pushy sales.
But a good ad? That can be a work of art.

And to be honest—
We're all advertising.
We're all selling.
All the time.

We want to make sure our loved ones see us for who we are, we want to make sure our reputation is great, we want our kids to be appreciated by their teachers, we want our homes to look clean and inviting to guests.

So let's not be pushy about our message.
Let's go deep about what it is we want to convey, and do it beautifully.
